PONENCIA. Automation Of The Drying Process For Producing Compost From Biosolids.

RESEÑA. Due to the contamination that is generated in the rivers of Bogotá by the drains of all residential groups, it was thought in the incursion of a new prototype that helps to solve this problem. The idea rises from the project «Aquatron», which consists in the separation of biosolids and urine through of density. A disadvantage of this project is that it feces goes into drains. To solve this, it was designed a prototype that has an automated drying and neutralization process of faces to obtain in a final process the compost packed, all this in order to: reduce the environmental impact that form in the rivers of Bogotá and be able to give another use as a generator of natural gas or fertilizer. The normal decomposition time of human feces without any treatment is 30 days in favorable climatic conditions, so when using the prototype, the neutralization and drying the time decreases by 35-40temperature, humidity and ph. This is possible, because the agent “Microbial inoculum for composting» helps to accelerate the decomposition in the prototype. With these results the environmental impact in terms of rivers could be reduced.
